Nine Nights at Marlay Park

Earlier this summer Spiking in Ireland attended the Marlay Park Summer Concerts with Safe Gigs Ireland collecting signatures for our petition that is calling on the Government of Ireland to introduce a stand-alone piece of legislation for the crime of Spiking in Ireland. Over the course of the two and a half weeks we attended all 9 concerts and collected an incredible 5,776 number of signatures. 

It was such an exciting few weeks being one of the first big events that we brought the petition out into the world for. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to talk to so many people, to raise awareness about the issue of spiking in Ireland, and to collect so many signatures for the petition. We couldn’t have had this success without our fantastic team of volunteers and owe a huge thank you to all of them who helped make this run at Marlay Park such a success. 

We have left full of excitement for what the rest of the summer is going to bring!
